On arrival at Qena, you will start with your fascinating insight into the history of Dendera Temple, said to have dated back to the middle kingdom. It is enclosed by a large mudbrick wall and exists several interior complexes. You will explore the inside the complex, including Hath-or Temple, the Temple of Isis, a sacred Lake, and even a section dedicated and constructed during the Roman period under Tiberius. After this great passage through time, you will move on to discover Abydos Temple, famous for being the Temple of Osiris and the Jackal-headed God of death. Altogether, there was an outstanding ten Temples constructed on this site as it was considered a cult worship site for Osiris and was visited by many pilgrims. Its leading site, the Temple of Seti, was dedicated to Pharaoh Seti and his son Ramses II.
