You cannot come to Egypt and miss the most important burial sites and Temples of Upper Egypt! So join us on this spectacular adventure to discover the Valley of the Kings, where ancient treasures were unearthed, to the essential Temple of Karnak, known as the Old Capital of Thebes. It will be one of the best days of your holiday in Egypt!
Early morning, you will be collected at your Hotel in Cairo by comfortable vehicle and one of our Representatives, then transferred to Cairo Airport for your short domestic flight to Luxor.
On arrival in Luxor, your local Tour Guide will meet you to start your full day of adventures then.
The first stop will be a drive over to the West Bank of the Nile to the stunning Valley of the Kings and its hills of sandstone and hidden tombs. Next, you will visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the first female Pharaoh to be appointed. The history of Hatshepsut is fascinating and has a few twists in her rule!
In the Valley, the famous British Archaeologist Howard Carter discovered the tomb of the boy King Tutankhamun and could never have expected to find such treasures.
Next will be a visit to the great Colossi of Memnon, two gigantic granite statues situated on the West Bank and were the original entrance to the Valley of the Kings. Excellent photo opportunity before heading off for a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant.
Finally, after lunch, you will visit the most important Temple of old Thebes, Karnak Temple. It is often referred to as an 'open-air museum' due to its size and contents within the Temple's grounds. Karnak was considered a sacred place is hosting a chapel, sacred lake, and massive pylons within its vast site. It was also the first Temple to be considered the place of worship to the God Amun.
Now you will be transferred back to Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo Airport. On arrival, you will be met by our Representative and return to your Hotel in Cairo to rest and relax.
