One of the most visited sites for tourism in Egypt is the City of Luxor, once known as the Old Capital of Thebes, with an abundance of ancient history and sites. Therefore, this is your opportunity to spend a fascinating day getting to grips with the real ancient Pharaonic history and its beloved sites.
You are visiting the Valley of the Kings with its many burial sites and Hatshepsut’s Temple, the giants known as the Colossi of Memnon, and the immense site of Karnak Temple. So get your place now and explore the real Luxor!
After breakfast, you will be collected early by your representative to board your comfortable vehicle for the journey down to Luxor in Upper Egypt.
On arrival, you will be met by our local experienced Tour Guide to start your tours of the day.
Your first visit will be on the West Bank of the Nile to the famous Valley of the Kings to take in the beautiful Temple of Hatshepsut, the first-ever known female Pharaoh. Her story was exciting and, indeed, well worth finding out all about her.
Time for photos of the surrounding valley where there were over 63 burials discovered, including that of the boy King Tutankhamun. Then you will visit the two gigantic Colossi of Memnon, and the granite statues were built there as the original entrance to the Valley of the Kings.
Now it's time for a well-needed rest and lunch at a local restaurant. After that, you will be transferred to the East Bank and the City of Luxor to explore the essential Karnak Temple, the original site for the ancient Egyptian God Amun. Karnak was a necessary site of Old Thebes with many added parts to the Temple, such as a sacred lake, place of worship, and giant columns protecting the God Amun and displaying his importance during the Middle Kingdom.
Finally, you will be transferred by vehicle back to Hurghada to your Hotel to relax and rest.
