Welcome to ancient Egypt! Our Kay Trips representative will meet and assist you upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport and will then transfer you to your hotel in Cairo for check-in and time to relax and adjust to the new time zone.

Your day starts with hotel breakfast, then your Kay Trips tour guide will be picked you up to begin your inspiring and exciting tour of Giza.
The first stop will be at the enormous 3 Pyramids of Giza, one of the original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World The Great Pyramid of the Pharaoh Khufu is the largest and most dominant and at the forefront of the pyramids of Khafre (Chephren) and Menkaure (Mykerinos). The Great Sphinx (head of a Pharaoh and body of a Lion) sits close by at the Valley Temple of the Giza Necropolis.
Next will be a stop for lunch at a traditional Egyptian restaurant to enjoy the local cuisine.
Following lunch, you will make your way to the Saqqara Necropolis to see the famous Djoser Step Pyramid which is believed to be the first pyramid ever built and in a far more basic structure than the later Pyramids.
The next visit will be to Memphis to explore the remains of what was once the capital of the Old Kingdom and in its day, a splendor to be seen with huge statues of granite.
Finally, your tour guide and driver will return you to your hotel, with free time and the opportunity to join optional tours at night.

The 3rd day of the 5-Day Cairo and Alexandria Tour starts with breakfast at your hotel in Cairo.
Today you will visit the world-renowned Egyptian Museum, the richest museum of Egyptian antiques and hosts the largest collection in the world, complete with pharaonic treasures dating more than 5,000 years old.
After visiting the Egyptian Museum, you will be taken for lunch at a well-known local traditional l restaurant.
Following this, the next stop is to the historic and magnificent Salah El Din Citadel and the incredible Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque. Dating back to the Ottoman Turks invasion, the Citadel sits in its glory at the highest point of the old city, allowing visitors to see across Cairo as far as the Pyramids, and witness the huge array of old Mosques, known as the ‘City of a thousand Minarets’.
Next, on to Old Coptic Cairo to see the famous Hanging Church of Cairo, and after that, you will visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue. This is the old Coptic Christian and Jewish quarter, once said to have been visited by Moses himself.
Finally, you will have a free time at the famous old Khan El Khalili Bazaar. This bazaar has been open since the 14th century and it is considered to be one of the oldest and biggest bazaars in the Middle East. Chance to pick up some lovely Egyptian souvenirs!
To end your day, you will be transferred to Cairo Airport for a domestic night flight to Aswan. Upon arrival at Aswan Airport, you will be met and transferred to a hotel in Aswan for an overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel in Aswan and then you will drive in a comfortable vehicle to Abu Simbel. The two Temples of Abu Simbel, (located on Lake Nasser) with their unique style, are considered to be the masterpieces of ancient Egypt constructed during the reign of the great Pharaoh Ramsses 11 during the 19th dynasty and reflect the glory and grandeur of the New Kingdom.
The Egyptian government and UNESCO decided to co-operate with a Polish archeologist to save these temples from the floods when the Aswan dam was constructed, so the whole Temple sites were re-located from the West Bank to Lake Nasser. This was an enormous task! The Temple of Ramsses II was dedicated to the four universal gods Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re, and Ramsses II himself. The great Abu Simbel temple is also called The Sun Temple of Ramesses II. The Temple of Queen Nefertari is also Called the Temple of Hathor who was the wife of the Sun God so symbolically, the two Temples, that of Ramsses II and that of Nefertari, bring Ramesses II, Nefertari, Hathor, and the Sun God together as one. Later on, check-in your hotel in Abu Simbel.

Breakfast at the hotel in Abu Simbel then you will drive back to Aswan to board your Nile Cruise ship for the next 4 days. Enjoy lunch on board before being taken by your tour guided to visit the famous Aswan High Dam, a huge undertaking and a great photo opportunity. Moving on to the majestic Philae Temple, a temple of devotion to the two Goddesses Isis and Hathor. Finally on to the massive Unfinished Obelisk, still resting on its side in the stone quarries of ancient Egypt. Then back to the cruise ship with dinner on board. Overnight aboard your cruise in Aswan.

After breakfast on board, you will set sail, passing the Qubbet El Hawa hills on the West Bank of the Nile, and under the picturesque Bridge of Aswan to the Temple of Kom Ombo, where encounter the twin Temple of the Crocodile God Sobek and the falcon God Horus whose monuments decorate each half of the Temple.
Lunch will be on board the ship and then relax and take in the panoramic views from the top deck for your sail on to Edfu, passing the ancient Granite rock quarries, old villages, and the Nile delta. Dinner on board in the evening. Overnight aboard your cruise in Edfu.

After breakfast on board, your Nile cruise ship, your guide will escort you to visit Edfu Temple, the falcon God of Horus and said to be one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. Then sailing on to historic Luxor with lunch on board the ship. You will be transferred back to the Nile cruise ship for dinner and a Belly dance show on board. Overnight onboard your cruise in Luxor.

Day Highlights:

Breakfast on board the cruise then check out and Disembarkation after breakfast to begin your exciting Luxor experience. Firstly, a visit on the East Bank of the Nile in Luxor to the enormous Karnak Temple (the original ancient city known as Thebes) and Luxor Temple. The two Temples are connected by a long avenue of Spinx’s. You will then move on to one of Egypt’s most famous landmarks on the West Bank of the River Nile in Luxor known as the Valley of the Kings, home to the original site of the burial chamber of the Boy King Tutankhamun, discovered by the English archeologist Howard Carter. Visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (the first female Pharaoh) at El Deir El Bahari and the gigantic Colossi of Memnon which was the original entrance to the Valley of the Kings. In total, 63 burial chambers have been unearthed on the West Bank.
After you tour the West Bank, you will head to the Luxor Airport for a return flight to Cairo. Transfer to your hotel in Cairo and Overnight stay.

Breakfast at your hotel. Today you have the choice of having a free day in Cairo or join our most valuable and historical optional tour to the second old capital of Egypt, that of Alexandria visiting one of the most important defensive strongholds, not only in Egypt but also along the Mediterranean Sea coast, ruled by the legendary Alexander the Great. Qaitbay Citadel, built in the 15th century by Sultan Qaitbay stands on the spot where Alexandria's ancient lighthouse once stood, and a vital stronghold for attacking enemies. Then moving on to the new and much-acclaimed Alexandria Library, the site of the old original Biblioteca. Also, a visit to the Roman cemetery cut out of the rock known as the ancient Catacombs. Return to your hotel in Cairo.
